Training
Our mission is to support and provide quality training to all staff at Itsy Bitsy Therapy. Staff throughout their time with us have learning opportunities from clinicians within Itsy Bitsy, professionals from outside the organizations, CEU and conference opportunities, along with hands on learning with clients. Whether you are new to the field of ABA or are looking to seek BACB clinical hours, our training program offers a comprehensive approach which allow you to continue to grow even after your time with us.
Itsy Bitsy Therapy offers RBTs who are interested in pursuing their BCBA license with 2 different roles within the organization. Individuals must be enrolled in an accredited graduate program seeking BACB Certification in order to be eligible for the roles.

A RBT is a paraprofessional who implements Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). At Itsy Bitsy Therapy, all staff working directly with clients must gain (and maintain) their RBT license within the first 45 days of employment.
Itsy Bitsy Therapy provides both the 40 Hour Training and the Competency Assessment along with continued supervision and documentation for recertification to all BTs/RBTs.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementing goals within the treatment plan which were designed by the BCBA
Providing direct support by working 1:1 with the clients to teach skills communication, social, play, adaptive and behavioral skills
Collecting data on program implementation
Working under close supervision and guidance of a BCBA
Requirements:
18+ years of age
Active, high-energy physical capabilities including the stamina to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 70 pounds
Have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
Completed or be enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor’s degree
Pass a criminal background and abuse registry check
Complete a 40-hour training program which is approved by the BACB
Pass a competency assessment completed by a qualified professional
Apply and pass the BACB RBT exam

The Lead RBT role allows for graduate students to start gaining further knowledge about ABA procedures while providing indirect experiences such as creating program stimuli, analyzing and making modifications to programs, learning to use multiple curriculums and working with a wider variety of clients, all under the direct supervision of a BCBA.

Key Responsibilities:
General management of all clients under the BCBAs caseload
Making minor program modifications
Stimuli creation
Leading basic staff/RBT training on topics such as pairing, data collection or mand training
Helping BCBAs collect data during assessments
Requirements:
Must be an RBT in good standing along with being able to implement ABA principals with 80-90% fidelity
Meet all criterias of the RBT role
1+ semester of BACB graduate coursework completed
Employeed at Itsy Bitsy Therapy for atleast 6 months
Preferred: completed minimum of 25% of Restricted clinical hours

The Behavior Analyst Trainee (B.A.T) role is designed for graduate students to gain restricted and unrestricted clinical hours under a BCBA in order to prepare them for their upcoming role. Individuals within this role are recommended to commit with Itsy Bitsy Therapy for a minimum of 1 year in order to learn the clinical skills needed with fidelity.

Key Responsibilities:
Help with management of all clients under the BCBAs caseload
Ensure that Leads and RBTs are completing all assigned tasks/implementing programs with fidelity
Analyzing and making program modifications as needed
Helping lead staff, RBT and caregiver training sessions
Conducting intake assessments and re-assessments
Developing treatment plans and behavior intervention plans
Requirements:
Must be an RBT in good standing along with being able to implement ABA principals with 80-90% fidelity
Meet all criterias of the RBT role
Preferred: worked as Lead RBT for a minimum of 6 months
2+ semesters of graduate coursework completed
Employeed at Itsy Bitsy Therapy for atleast 6 months
Preferred: completed 50% of Restricted and 25% of Unrestricted clinical hours
